I respect anybody that can put up with this kind of cold - I do my fair share of whitewater - but I like to be warm.......

Yeah, it's cold, VERY cold. Exactly how cold cannot be described. However, if you're hardcore enough to raft or kayak in this weather chances are you have invested in the clothing to stay warm. A good drysuit goes a long way and when you're in a kayak you stay 'relatively' dry from the waist down. The benefit of putting up with the cold is the higher water levels that come around this time of the year. - 9 Year ex-raft guide
